My skills and what I can do and abilities 

Skills which I have when it comes to post production and editing is at a normal level as I am able to edit and edit scenes you that I can trim the clips down so that you are able to understand it and it makes sense. Other things I can do is visual effects such as keying a green screen background out and changing it out or making the background change at different points. I am also able to add in transitions to create emotion or to show the passing of time I also have understanding of the post production part as I know that editing takes the longest time for any media production this Is because of the time it takes to get things right but also the steps that I have to go through when it comes to this part such as advertising the film and creating an billboards, posters but also the other forms of advertising.

Skills that I have with in camera operating and camera equipment are that I am skilled with a camera and I am able to get unique and different shots I do this through Imagining how I want a shot or a scene to look I also take small ideas I may have saw in other projects that other people have create such as a shot or camera angle or how they have planned a shot. Camera equipment also comes into play here as I have used different cameras such as a DSLR camera but also a camcorder and the standard camera you get on a phone. Camera equipment also consists of microphones and tripods I have used a rode mic but not for long and also a different variety of tripods. This helps understanding the equipment that you are working with as it helps speed up the job you are doing, I don’t have the most knowledge when it comes to a DSLR and a camcorder but I have used one. With this it also helps as when it comes to using the cameras you may need a different camera for different objectives you want to accomplish. This can be through the shots you need or the way you want a scene to look and the quality you want the production to look overall. Getting a good camera shot can also make a scene look and feel better I am also have a really good understanding of the types of shots and angles you can get and ways it can show emotion or create emotion.

I also have a good ideas for special effects have also used and done some in the projects that I have created such as make up and also using water to create the effect that someone is sweating and make up to make someone look like a zombie. They scene where i used the water to make sweat can be seen on my page on my feature work at the start. 

My research skills are good as having good research can help everyone in the long run as it can speed up a task which is need or can make something cheaper. But also having good research can also make a production better it is also good to have good research as it helps you with your competitors as this can help in lots of ways I have done this with the advert I produced as it helps you fine new ideas ,which  they may not have done making it better.

I also have good skills of pitching as I have had experience with this has I have done a pitch before to sell my idea for an advert which was in a college environment I have also done other pitches in other ways such as in secondary school and so on. I am also very hard working when it comes to work and objectives which need to be completed to I have also have high standards when it comes to work and what it should look like.

The work I have done can be broken down into many different ways such as the learning I do in college but also the work I do outside, the things that I have done in college consists of the course I am taking which is digital media which will get me a diploma, the work which I have done is all different types I have work a lot on the pre-production paper work needed to produce a film an advert or TV show. This also comes under being creative with my work as coming up with ideas that are original and unique can be difficult this goes along with storyboards, ideas generation and also a script. I have also done a lot of research on different things such as new ways that advertising is changing and how it can be used to promote new product or service. These are all things that I am good at such as being creative but also good at research. I have also done other things such as editing pieces of work I have create such as editing which was done adobe premiere pro which has built my skills and work within that part. I have also good organisation skills which has helped me with my work that I have produced such as my planning and scheduling when it comes to getting the work done but also workflow. I am also good at being able to consider head and safety when on a production or when needed this is shown through the work I have done this can be my location recces, risk assessments but also risk assessments when it comes to editing and risks that you can face. I also have a good understanding of legal and ethical issue in which a production can face when filming and the problems that can cause this is also shown through the work I have done such as a legal and ethical issues plan. I also have basic IT skills which can be used on a normal laptop or pc.

For work that I have done outside of college can be different as I have worked on a TV productions which I helped do the back drops for when the camera looks outside it sees a normal street and not a studio.The skills and knowledge that I have picked up from this is many things such as teamwork but what it is also like when it comes to filming on the day for a TV show.
